1.5 kOhms at 100 MHz — the suppression spec that decides the fit
The BLM15BD152SZ1D is a Murata BLM-series ferrite bead in the standard 0402 (1005 metric) SMD package. Its headline impedance is 1.5 kOhms at 100 MHz, which is the frequency where conducted EMI from switching regulators and digital clocks typically peaks — this bead presents its maximum attenuation right where you need it. Rated for 190 mA continuous current with a maximum DC resistance of 1 Ohm. The 190 mA ceiling means the bead stays below its saturation knee at that current; above it the impedance drops and the filter effectiveness degrades. The 1 Ohm DCR at full load drops 190 mV — budget that into the rail voltage margin.
AEC-Q200 and the temperature envelope
AEC-Q200 qualification means this bead passed the automotive-grade passive component stress tests: thermal shock, moisture resistance, mechanical shock, and vibration. The BLM series is a standard Murata catalog line, so supply continuity for existing BOM positions is stable.
Board-fit and procurement
0402 footprint, 1.00 mm x 0.50 mm, 0.55 mm seated height. Single-line configuration — one ferrite bead per power rail or signal line. Available in tape and reel for automated pick-and-place or cut tape for prototype and low-volume builds.
