1500W bidirectional TVS in a DO-201AA axial package
The Microsemi 1.5KE75CAE3/TR13 is a 1500W bidirectional Zener TVS diode in a through-hole DO-201AA axial package, supplied on Tape & Reel. The bidirectional channel means a single device handles both positive and negative transients — useful on AC lines or DC rails where polarity reversal is a risk. The -65°C to 150°C junction temperature range suits it for outdoor, industrial, or under-hood environments where the ambient swings wide.
Protection window and surge capability
The 64.1V reverse standoff means the diode stays transparent on a nominal 48V or 60V rail, only conducting when the line exceeds that threshold. Breakdown starts at 71.3V minimum, guaranteeing the avalanche region is entered before the voltage reaches the clamp ceiling of 103V at the rated 14.6A peak pulse current. The 103V clamp at that current means the protected circuit sees no more than 103V across the TVS during the surge event, regardless of the upstream energy. The through-hole DO-201AA body handles the thermal pulse of a 1500W surge without package cracking, but the PCB trace width to the anode and cathode must carry the 14.6A peak without fusing.
Obsolete — sourced through surplus channels
Microsemi has marked this part as obsolete. Available through independent surplus inventory — quantities are lot-specific, date codes vary, and each reel is screened for authenticity and RoHS compliance before shipment.
