Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
Microsemi has marked the 1.5KE250CAE3/TR13 as obsolete.
The 214 V reverse standoff voltage means the diode does not conduct at normal line voltage up to that level; it only begins to avalanche when the transient exceeds the minimum breakdown voltage of 237 V. The bidirectional channel protects circuits where the signal or power rail swings both positive and negative relative to ground — common in AC-coupled data lines or bipolar supplies. The -65°C to 150°C junction temperature range covers industrial and some automotive under-hood environments without derating concerns at the extremes.
Package and reel format for through-hole assembly
The through-hole mounting suits hand-insertion or wave-solder assembly; the reel format is intended for automated insertion equipment that handles axial components.
