Key ratings for circuit protection fit
The reverse standoff voltage is 17.1 V, meaning the diode does not conduct at normal operating voltages below this level. Breakdown occurs at a minimum of 19 V, and the clamping voltage at peak pulse current (54 A) is 27.7 V max — the protected rail sees no more than 27.7 V during the transient event. A single bidirectional device protects both polarities of a signal or power line — useful for AC-coupled or floating lines where the transient can swing positive or negative relative to ground.
Supplied in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, through-hole mount. The Tape & Reel (TR) packaging option is suited for automated insertion but the axial format also supports hand placement for rework or low-volume builds. Rated for operation from -65°C to +150°C junction temperature — this covers military and industrial temperature extremes, making it suitable for outdoor, engine-bay, or sealed-enclosure environments where ambient temperatures can swing widely.
