Clamp voltage and surge current
The 14.5V maximum clamping voltage at 103A peak pulse current means a downstream 12V-rated capacitor or IC sees no more than that during a lightning or inductive-load transient. The 1500W rating at 10/1000µs is the standard telecom surge waveform — this part is sized for secondary protection on I/O lines, not AC mains (the spec explicitly says no power line protection).
Package and temperature range
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, it mounts through-hole and handles the full -65°C to 150°C junction temperature range — suitable for outdoor or industrial enclosures where the ambient sees wide swings.
