USB 3.1 Gen 1 hub controller for automotive infotainment clusters
The USB7002T/KDX is a four-port USB 3.1 Gen 1 hub controller from Microchip Technology, built to the AEC-Q100 automotive qualification standard. It handles the downstream port expansion for a USB 3.1 host, managing enumeration, power switching, and data routing across four downstream ports at 5 Gbps each.
Package and board-fit — 100-VQFN with exposed pad
Supplied in a 100-VFQFN Exposed Pad package (12x12 mm body), the USB7002T/KDX requires a thermal pad on the PCB for heat dissipation. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) for automated assembly or Cut Tape (CT) for prototyping and low-volume builds. The reel quantity suits production runs; the cut tape option avoids minimum reel commitments during development.
