The SST39VF3201-70-4I-B3KE is a 32Mbit parallel NOR flash from Microchip's SST39 MPF™ family, organized as 2M x 16 bits. Its 70 ns access time means the CPU reads instructions directly from the flash at zero-wait-state up to about 14 MHz bus speed — beyond that the controller inserts wait cycles. That makes it a fit for microcontroller boot memories, FPGA configuration storage, and firmware-updateable code shadow in industrial controllers.
