1500W peak pulse, 7.5V standoff — DO-214AB unidirectional TVS
The SMCJ7.5AE3/TR13 is a Zener-type TVS diode rated for 1500 W peak pulse power (1.5 kW) under the 10/1000 µs waveform. The 7.5 V reverse standoff voltage means it starts conducting when the line exceeds that level, clamping at 12.9 V maximum at the rated 116.3 A peak pulse current. That clamp ceiling is the number your downstream silicon needs to survive.
Breakdown window and temperature range
Minimum breakdown voltage is 8.33 V, giving a narrow guard band between the 7.5 V standoff and the point where the diode starts to avalanche.
Active production, surface-mount DO-214AB
Unidirectional, no power-line protection
This is a single unidirectional channel — one diode per package, cathode band marked. The DO-214AB body is the same as the standard SMC footprint; reflow profile follows the usual Pb-free solder profile for that package.
