Transient protection for a 6V rail
The SMCJ6.0AE3/TR13 is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode rated for 1500W peak pulse power (10/1000 µs waveform). Its 6V reverse standoff voltage and 6.67V minimum breakdown voltage let it sit across a 5V or 6V supply rail without conducting during normal operation, then clamp transients to 10.3V maximum at the peak pulse current of 145.6A. That clamping voltage is the ceiling the downstream circuitry must survive.
Housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) package, this is a standard surface-mount footprint with two large anode/cathode pads and a visible polarity band. The SMC body has enough thermal mass to survive hot-air rework without lifting the pad.
