Transient protection for 48V rails
With a single bidirectional channel, this part clamps equally on positive and negative transients, so you don't need to worry about polarity orientation on the PCB — useful for AC-coupled or floating signal pairs.
Clamping voltage and current handling
Breakdown occurs at a minimum of 53.3V, and the maximum clamping voltage at the 17.5A peak pulse current is 85.5V. That 32V headroom between standoff and clamp means the protected circuitry sees a hard ceiling well below typical 100V-rated component limits.
