It clamps transients to 50V maximum at 30A peak pulse current, making it a solid choice for protecting 24V DC rails in industrial control, telecom, and general-purpose power supplies.
The 50V clamping voltage at 30A peak pulse current (10/1000µs) defines the maximum voltage the downstream circuitry will see during a surge event. For a 24V nominal rail, this leaves a 26V margin above the standoff — enough headroom for most DC/DC converters and linear regulators rated at 60V input. The 1500W peak pulse rating is tested with a 10/1000µs waveform, the standard for telecom surge testing (ITU-T K.20/K.21). If your application uses a shorter pulse (e.g., 8/20µs for IEC 61000-4-5), the effective peak power derates upward — the silicon can handle more energy in a shorter burst.
