1.5 kW peak pulse — 11 V standoff — DO-214AB SMC
Clamping voltage at peak pulse current (82.4 A) is 18.2 V max — the protected rail sees no more than this during a surge event. Breakdown voltage min is 12.2 V, giving a 1.2 V margin above the standoff level before the device starts conducting.
Bidirectional — one device protects both polarities
A single bidirectional channel clamps positive and negative transients symmetrically, reducing component count on AC or bipolar signal lines. Power line protection is not provided — this is a signal-line TVS, not a mains surge suppressor.
DO-214AB SMC — surface-mount footprint
The SMC body is larger than the SMA/SMB siblings, offering better thermal dissipation for the 1.5 kW pulse rating.
