54 V rail protection with 600 W surge capability
Its 54 V reverse standoff voltage means the part will not conduct leakage current under normal operation on a 54 V supply, while the 60 V minimum breakdown voltage ensures the avalanche threshold sits safely above the rail. The 87.1 V clamping voltage limits the peak voltage seen by the downstream circuitry during a surge. The 6.9 A peak pulse current is the current the diode can sink at the clamping voltage without exceeding its thermal limit.
Operating junction temperature spans -65°C to 150°C, covering military, avionics, and industrial environments where the ambient may reach 125°C and the junction sees additional self-heating during the pulse. The Tape & Reel delivery suits automated pick-and-place assembly.
Marking and provenance check
Microchip date-code laser etching on the DO-214AA body follows a consistent font and alphanumeric format per the manufacturer's plant standard. For a buyer vetting broker or surplus stock, the marking should be clean, un-sanded, and match the date-code week pattern — any re-marked or relabeled units should be flagged for decap or X-ray verification.
