5V rail clamp, 600W pulse rating
Its 6.4V minimum breakdown voltage and 9.2V maximum clamping at 65.2A peak pulse current define the protection window — the rail sees no more than 9.2V during a 10/1000µs surge event. For shorter pulses the power capability is higher, but the datasheet curve is the reference for derating above 25°C ambient.
Bidirectional, DO-214AA, active production
This is a single-channel bidirectional device — it clamps both polarities, so you do not need to worry about orientation on the PCB. The DO-214AA (SMB) package is a common footprint; the cathode band is present but irrelevant for a bidirectional part.
