Active Zener TVS for 43 V rail protection
It clamps a 7.8 A surge to 76.7 V max, making it a fit for protecting 43 V DC power rails in general-purpose industrial or telecom equipment.
Clamping voltage and surge current at the rail
With a minimum breakdown voltage of 47.8 V and a clamping ceiling of 76.7 V at 7.8 A, this part leaves a 4.8 V margin above the 43 V standoff before the avalanche starts — enough headroom for a regulated 48 V bus with normal ripple. The 600 W peak pulse rating assumes the standard 10/1000 µs double-exponential waveform; shorter pulses (e.g. 8/20 µs) allow higher peak current without exceeding the junction temperature limit of 150°C.
