TVS diode for 33V rail clamping
With a 33V reverse standoff voltage and a minimum breakdown voltage of 36.7V, the part stays off during normal operation and only conducts when the rail exceeds the breakdown threshold. The bidirectional configuration means a single device protects both polarities — useful for AC-coupled signal lines or where the board layout cannot guarantee a single ground reference. No power line protection feature confirms this is a signal- or DC-rail TVS, not a mains-side suppressor.
The SMBJ33CAE3/TR13 is supplied on tape and reel, with cut tape also available for prototyping. The base product number SMBJ33 helps identify the family for cross-referencing.
For a protection diode that sees steady demand across industrial and telecom BOMs, the supply outlook is stable — no allocation pressure expected in the near term.
