Clamping voltage and breakdown threshold
The breakdown voltage starts at 15.6V min, so the device begins conducting before the rail exceeds safe limits. For a 14V supply, this leaves roughly 1.6V of margin above the nominal rail before the TVS starts to avalanche, which is tight but workable for well-regulated supplies.
No power line protection feature is included — this is a signal or low-power rail clamp, not a mains-side suppressor.
