Breakdown and Clamping for 10V Rail Protection
The breakdown voltage range starts at 11.1V, meaning the device begins to avalanche just above the rail. Clamping is specified at 18.8V max at the peak pulse current of 31.9A — that 18.8V ceiling is what the downstream circuitry sees during a surge. The 600W peak pulse rating is the energy-handling limit for a 10/1000µs pulse; for shorter transients the part can absorb more peak power, but the datasheet derating curve should be checked for repetitive events.
