The SMAJ6.5CAE3/TR13 is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode from Microchip Technology, designed to clamp transients on a 6.5V nominal rail. It delivers 500W peak pulse power per the 10/1000µs waveform, with a minimum breakdown voltage of 7.22V and a maximum clamping voltage of 11.2V at 44.7A peak pulse current. The single bidirectional channel means the part can protect a signal pair or a DC rail where polarity is not fixed — common on RS-485, CAN bus, or sensor lines that see reverse-voltage events.
