Transient suppressor for 33V rails
It clamps transients to 53.3V maximum at the rated 9.4A peak pulse current, making it a direct fit for protecting 24V to 33V DC power buses, signal lines, or I/O ports in industrial and telecom equipment.
Bidirectional clamping in one package
A single SMAJ33CAE3/TR13 covers both positive and negative transients — the bidirectional channel eliminates the need for two series diodes or a bridge arrangement on AC-coupled or dual-polarity lines. The breakdown voltage starts at 36.7V minimum, so the device stays out of the circuit until a real surge arrives.
Active production, standard DO-214AC footprint
Tape & Reel and Cut Tape options are available for both prototyping and production reels.
The 500W peak pulse rating is specified at 25°C; at 125°C ambient the power capability derates to roughly 80% of the 25°C value — a margin to account for in high-temperature designs.
