26 V rail protection in a DO-214AC footprint
Clamping window and breakdown margin
Breakdown occurs at 28.9 V minimum, and the clamping voltage at the 10.7 A peak pulse current is 46.6 V. That 46.6 V clamp is what the downstream circuitry sees; if the load's absolute maximum rating is below that, a lower-voltage TVS or a secondary protection stage is needed. The junction temperature range spans -65°C to 150°C, which covers cold-start outdoor cabinets and hot engine-bay environments without derating the pulse power at the high end — though the 500 W rating is specified at 25°C and derates linearly above that per the datasheet curve.
Microchip lists the SMAJ26CE3/TR13 as Active, meaning no end-of-life notice is in effect and the part remains in standard production. Submit an RFQ through the distributor portal — availability is sourced per order, not held as standing stock.
