64 MHz 8-bit core with 128 KB program space — the BOM-fit tier
The Microchip PIC18F27Q43-E/SP is an 8-bit MCU from the PIC® XLP™ 18F series, qualified for Functional Safety (FuSa) applications. The 28-pin SPDIP through-hole package suits prototyping sockets, high-vibration harnessed assemblies, and rework-friendly layouts where a surface-mount part would complicate field service.
Extended temperature grade and analog peripheral count
Built-in peripherals include Brown-out Detect/Reset, Low-Voltage Detect, POR, PWM, and WDT — the usual watchdog and power-supervision blocks for unattended operation. Serial connectivity covers I²C, LINbus, SPI, and UART/USART, which covers the common sensor and actuator buses in automotive and industrial control. The 25 general-purpose I/O pins provide enough headroom for a keypad matrix, LED indicators, and a few discrete sensor inputs alongside the serial interfaces.
ROHS3 compliance is confirmed.
