The 125°C junction limit means you can run the core at full speed even in a sealed enclosure with limited airflow, as long as the thermal pad on the 28-QFN (6x6 mm) is properly stitched to a copper plane. The 'E' suffix in the order code flags the extended temperature grade — the commercial-grade 'I' variant (0°C to 85°C) is a different MPN, so verify the BOM line matches your environmental spec.
Analog integration — 24-channel 12-bit ADC and 5-bit DAC
With 24 analog inputs multiplexed into a 12-bit ADC and a single 5-bit DAC, this MCU can handle multi-sensor acquisition (temperature, pressure, current sense) without an external ADC. The 12-bit resolution gives 4.9 mV per count at a 5 V reference, adequate for most industrial sensor interfaces. The DAC is coarse (5-bit, 32 levels) but sufficient for generating a bias voltage or a simple analog setpoint. Brown-out detect (BOD) and high/low-voltage detect (HLVD) are built in, so you can implement a clean power-fail sequence without a supervisor IC.
The 25 I/O pins include I²C, SPI, UART, and LINbus interfaces — enough for a modest control board with a display, a few sensors, and a serial link.
