The Microchip PIC16F18323-E/ST is an 8-bit PIC MCU from the PIC® XLP™ 16F family, built for low-power operation across a wide supply range of 2.3V to 5.5V. It runs at 32 MHz with 3.5KB of Flash program memory, 256 bytes of RAM, and 256 bytes of EEPROM — enough for small control loops, sensor calibration tables, and non-volatile parameter storage without an external serial EEPROM. The 14-pin TSSOP package keeps board area tight, and the 12 general-purpose I/O lines include an 11-channel 10-bit ADC and a single 5-bit DAC, so analog sensor inputs or simple analog output signals don't need extra converters. That 125°C ceiling matters for under-hood automotive modules, industrial motor drives sitting next to a hot power stage, or outdoor telecom gear that bakes in a sunlit cabinet.
At 32 MHz, this PIC executes most single-cycle instructions in 125 ns. That is fast enough for 10 kHz to 50 kHz control loops with headroom for communication overhead.
