32 MHz 8-bit core — enough throughput for sensor fusion and control loops
The Microchip PIC16F1716-I/SS is an 8-bit PIC MCU from the PIC XLP 16F family, running at 32 MHz. With 14 KB Flash and 1 KB RAM, it fits firmware for sensor aggregation, motor control, and communication bridging without external memory. The data converters — 17-channel 10-bit ADC, one 5-bit DAC, one 8-bit DAC — handle analog front-ends without external ADC.
Package and footprint — 28-SSOP, 5.30 mm wide
Housed in a 28-SSOP (0.209", 5.30 mm width) surface-mount package. The 25 available I/O leave three pins for supply and ground. Standard SSOP land pattern applies; no thermal pad or exposed paddle, so layout is straightforward.
No extended-temperature variant needed for these environments.
