The Microchip PIC16F15355-I/SO is an 8-bit PIC MCU from the PIC® XLP™ 16F family, built around a 32 MHz internal oscillator and carrying 14 KB of Flash program memory with 1 KB of RAM. The 28-pin SOIC package (0.295″ body width) suits surface-mount assembly on medium-density boards — common in motor-control, sensor-interface, and human-machine interface applications where the 8-bit core is enough and the XLP low-power modes matter.
The 14 KB program space (8K x 14 words) is typical for a mid-range 8-bit PIC: enough for a modest control loop, a few state machines, and a serial protocol stack. The 1 KB RAM holds a couple of 256-byte buffers plus global variables — no room for a full TCP/IP stack or large data arrays.
