20 MHz core, 8-pin SOIC — what drives the BOM fit
The Microchip PIC12HV752-E/SN is an 8-bit PIC MCU clocked at 20 MHz, with 1.75 KB of on-chip Flash program memory and 64 bytes of RAM. It is built on the PIC 12F architecture and targets cost-sensitive, space-constrained control applications such as sensor interfaces, simple motor commutation, and power-supply housekeeping. The 64 bytes of RAM limit the data buffer depth — this part is sized for register-based state machines and small lookup tables, not large data arrays.
The wide range also covers cold-crank and hot-soak conditions without derating the core speed. The 0.154-inch body height fits low-profile enclosures. No exposed pad — thermal dissipation relies on the copper trace area on the PCB.
On-chip analog — ADC and DAC reduce external count
Four 10-bit ADC channels and a single 5-bit DAC are integrated on-chip, removing the need for an external serial ADC or DAC in applications like battery-voltage monitoring, potentiometer readout, or simple analog set-point generation.
