8 MHz core, 1.5 KB Flash — what fits in the footprint
The Microchip PIC12F510-E/MC is an 8-bit PIC microcontroller in the PIC® 12F family, clocked at 8 MHz from its internal oscillator. Program memory is 1.5 KB (organized as 1K x 12 words) of Flash, with 38 bytes of RAM (38 x 8). This is a small-footprint MCU for simple control, timing, and sensor-read tasks where code size stays under a few hundred instructions.
The 125°C upper limit means it can sit next to a hot power stage or in an engine bay without derating the clock or I/O drive.
The wide tolerance also helps during battery discharge in portable or backup applications.
Package — 8-DFN (2x3 mm) with exposed pad
Housed in an 8-VFDFN with exposed pad (8-DFN, 2x3 mm body), this is a surface-mount package suited for compact PCBs. The exposed pad improves thermal conduction to the board ground plane.
