P-channel load switch in a 6-pin SC-70
The MIC94073YC6-TR: It delivers up to 1.2 A continuous output through a single SC-70-6 package, making it a compact fit for portable and low-voltage rail switching. The switch is controlled by a single On/Off logic input (non-inverting) and requires no external Vcc supply — the gate drive is derived from the load voltage itself. This simplifies the BOM by eliminating a separate bias rail.
120 mOhm on-resistance and slew-rate control
The Rds(on) is specified at the device level; actual junction temperature rise depends on board layout and ambient conditions. The integrated slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current into capacitive loads, reducing voltage droop on the input rail. The load discharge feature actively pulls the output low when the switch is off, preventing floating output nodes that could cause erratic downstream behavior. The device is rated for continuous operation across this full band, though the 1.2 A maximum output should be derated above 85°C ambient per the thermal derating curve in the datasheet.
