Fixed 3V LDO for noise-sensitive analog rails
The MIC5365-3.0YC5-TR is a 150 mA fixed-output LDO from Microchip Technology, delivering a regulated 3V rail from a maximum input of 5.5V. The 0.31V maximum dropout at full load means the input must stay above 3.31V across the load range to hold regulation — a 3.3V rail with 200 mV margin is tight; 5V gives comfortable headroom. PSRR runs 80 dB at 1 kHz, rolling to 65 dB at 10 kHz — this is the spec that matters for powering analog front-ends or VCOs where upstream switching noise at 1–2 MHz folds back into the audio or IF band. The 39 µA quiescent current keeps the regulator's own draw low enough for always-on sensor nodes or battery-powered handhelds.
Industrial temp range and package footprint
Rated -40°C to +125°C operating junction temperature — this covers under-hood automotive and outdoor industrial enclosures without derating. The SC-70-5 (SOT-353) package is a 5-lead surface-mount footprint with 0.65 mm pitch; the enable pin lets a GPIO or supervisor shut the output off to save the 39 µA Iq when the load is idle. Protection features include over-current and over-temperature shutdown — no external crowbar or thermal watchdog needed for basic fault coverage. Output is fixed at 3V, positive polarity, single regulator.
