300 mA LDO for 1.3 V core rails
The MIC5318-1.3YD5 TR is a 300 mA low-dropout regulator from Microchip Technology, delivering a fixed 1.3 V output from a maximum 6 V input rail. Its 150 µA quiescent current keeps the regulator's own draw low in always-on or battery-powered circuits, while the 75 dB PSRR at 1 kHz (dropping to 55 dB at 20 kHz) filters upstream switching noise before it reaches the load. The TSOT-23-5 package is small enough for space-constrained boards but still hand-reworkable with a hot-air station — the exposed pad on the bottom side needs a good thermal via connection to the ground plane for heat sinking.
Temp grade and protection for industrial use
Built-in current limit and over-temperature protection prevent the part from failing into a short circuit or thermal runaway if the load exceeds the 300 mA ceiling. The enable pin lets a system controller shut down the regulator to near-zero quiescent draw during sleep modes — useful for battery-powered sensor nodes that wake periodically.
