150 mA LDO — 1 V fixed, 39 µA Iq
The MIC5317-1.0YM5-T5 is a 150 mA low-dropout linear regulator from Microchip Technology, delivering a fixed 1 V output from a maximum 6 V input rail. The dropout voltage maxes at 0.38 V under full load — so the input needs to stay above 1.38 V to keep regulation clean. Quiescent current is 39 µA, which keeps the battery drain low in always-on or sleep-state designs.
PSRR across the audio band
PSRR is specified at 80 dB at 1 kHz, dropping to 65 dB at 10 kHz. That matters if the input rail carries switching noise from a buck converter — the regulator still knocks down ripple by a factor of several thousand at the lower frequencies, but above 10 kHz the rejection rolls off and the output starts to see the residue.
Temperature range and protection
Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection mean the regulator folds back before the die sees damage — useful if the load shorts or the ambient spikes.
