Fixed 5V rail for low-power loads
The MIC5213-5.0YC5-TR is a fixed 5V output LDO from Microchip Technology's Teeny™ series, delivering 80 mA continuous current. Input voltage range extends to 16V, so it tolerates 12V rails and unregulated wall-wart outputs without an external pre-regulator. The 750 µA quiescent current is modest for always-on loads but not designed for sub-µA sleep budgets.
Temperature grade and protection
On-chip protection includes over-current, over-temperature, and reverse polarity — the reverse-polarity clamp prevents damage if the input supply is accidentally reversed, a common failure in field-wired 12V systems.
Active lifecycle and sourcing
The Enable pin (active-high) lets the system power down the regulator for a low-power sleep state without a separate load switch.
