What this EL driver does on your board
The MIC4832YMM TR is a low-noise EL (electroluminescent) lamp driver that generates a 220Vpp AC waveform from a 1.8V to 5.5V DC supply — enough to light an EL panel for backlit keypads, badge displays, or decorative panels. Switching frequency is adjustable between 65 kHz and 250 kHz, letting you tune the lamp brightness and audible noise trade-off. The 45 µA quiescent current keeps the battery drain negligible when the lamp is off.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in an 8-MSOP package (3.00 mm width), the part is hand-solderable with a fine-tip iron or hot-air rework station — no BGA reflow needed.
