34V boost LED driver with integrated switch
The Microchip MIC2287-34YML-TR is a DC-DC boost regulator designed to drive white LEDs in backlight and camera flash applications. It integrates the power switch and delivers up to 34V output from a 2.5V to 10V input supply. The 750 mA switch current rating sets the practical output power ceiling.
1.2 MHz switching — inductor sizing trade-off
The 1.2 MHz switching frequency lets the designer use a small inductor.
Analog and PWM dimming
Dual dimming modes are available: analog dimming adjusts the LED current continuously, while PWM dimming modulates the enable pin.
The 125°C TJ rating means the part can dissipate power in a warm enclosure without derating below the switch current limit.
