Scale factor and supply integration
The MCP9701T-E/LT outputs an analog voltage proportional to temperature at 19.5 mV/°C, so a 10°C change shifts the output by 195 mV — enough for a 10-bit ADC to resolve roughly 0.5°C per LSB without an amplifier.
Accuracy and temperature envelope
Accuracy is ±4°C maximum from 0°C to 70°C, widening to -4°C / +6°C outside that band. Sensing range is -10°C to +125°C — the sensor reports temperature across that span but the accuracy spec is only guaranteed within the test condition window.
Package and supply posture
Housed in a 5-lead SC-70-5 (SOT-353), the part fits a 2.0 mm x 2.1 mm footprint — suited for space-constrained boards where a thermistor with a bias resistor would take more room. The output is a ratiometric analog voltage, so no I²C or SPI bus is consumed; a single ADC channel reads the temperature. Supplied on Tape & Reel or Cut Tape for pick-and-place assembly.
