Product details

95°C OverTemp switch with selectable hysteresis

The MCP9502PT-095E/OT is a factory-programmed temperature switch that asserts its output when the die temperature crosses 95°C. The push-pull output goes Active High on an overtemperature event, making it a direct drive for a logic input or a small-signal MOSFET gate without a pull-up resistor. The selectable hysteresis lets the designer choose between a 2°C or 10°C reset band via a logic pin, preventing output chatter near the threshold.

Supply and output drive

Runs from a 3 V supply rail and sources up to 20 mA from the push-pull output. The 20 mA drive is enough to switch a logic-level load or an optocoupler LED directly, but not a relay coil — that needs an external transistor. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profiles works; no special handling beyond the usual MSL precautions.

Frequently asked questions

What is the switching temperature and output type of MCP9502PT-095E/OT?

It switches at 95°C with an Active High push-pull output. The output goes high when the die temperature exceeds the threshold and resets when it drops below the selected hysteresis band.
