The MCP73834-GPI/MF is a constant-current, constant-voltage linear charger for single-cell Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer batteries, delivering up to 1.1 A of charge current with a 4.2 V regulation voltage. The charge current is programmable via an external resistor, giving the designer control over the charge rate to match the cell capacity and thermal budget.
