Zero-drift precision in a SOT-23-5 footprint
The Microchip MCP6V91UT-E/OT is a single-supply, zero-drift operational amplifier in a 5-pin SOT-23-5 package. Its 9 µV maximum input offset voltage and 2 pA input bias current suit it for precision DC signal chains where drift over temperature would otherwise require periodic system calibration — weigh scales, bridge transducers, thermocouple amplifiers, and photodiode front-ends. The 10 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 9.5 V/µs slew rate are unusual for a zero-drift topology, letting it handle audio-band anti-aliasing filters or fast sensor excitation loops without switching artifacts typical of chopper-stabilized designs.
Rail-to-rail output swings within millivolts of each supply, preserving dynamic range at low voltages. Each channel can source or sink 40 mA — enough to drive an ADC reference input or a small relay coil through a series resistor.
The extended industrial temperature range qualifies the part for under-hood automotive, factory-floor automation, outdoor telecom nodes, and engine-bay electronics where commercial 85°C parts would derate or fail. The active product status means Microchip continues to manufacture it — no last-time-buy clock is running, and it remains eligible for new-design qualification.
