80 kHz GBWP, 6.5 µA per channel — the micropower zero-drift dual
The Microchip MCP6V17T-E/MS is a dual zero-drift operational amplifier from the Zero-Drift series, packaged in an 8-MSOP. Its 80 kHz gain-bandwidth product and 0.03 V/µs slew rate place it squarely in the ultra-low-bandwidth, micropower class — the right choice when the signal is DC or low-frequency and the battery budget is tight.
Zero-drift offset — 25 µV max, no calibration needed
The zero-drift architecture holds input offset voltage to 25 µV maximum, with 5 pA input bias current. That combination eliminates the production offset-trim step for precision DC measurement chains — thermocouple amplifiers, strain-gauge bridges, current-sense shunts — where a few microvolts of drift would swamp the signal.
Lifecycle and sourcing
Microchip lists the MCP6V17T-E/MS as Active, so there is no near-term last-time-buy risk. It is ROHS3 compliant. The MCP6V16UT-E/LTY is a single-channel version with the same 80 kHz GBWP and 6.5 µA supply, useful if the design only needs one amplifier.
