What this quad op-amp brings to the rail
The Microchip MCP6294T-E/SL is a quad general-purpose operational amplifier with rail-to-rail output, packing four independent op-amps into a 14-SOIC package. Its 10 MHz gain bandwidth product and 7 V/µs slew rate suit it for signal conditioning, active filtering, and sensor amplification in industrial and automotive environments. Each channel draws 1 mA supply current, making the full device a 4 mA quiescent budget item — a reasonable trade-off for the bandwidth on offer.
The 10 MHz gain bandwidth product sets the small-signal bandwidth at unity gain; at a closed-loop gain of 10, expect roughly 1 MHz of usable bandwidth. The 7 V/µs slew rate means the output can swing 5 V in about 0.7 µs, which keeps large-signal distortion low up to several hundred kilohertz. For audio, ADC driver, or motor-current sense applications, these numbers put the MCP6294 in the mid-speed tier — fast enough for many control loops, not so fast that layout parasitics dominate.
