Quad 12-bit DAC with AEC-Q100 grade
The MCP48FVB24T-E/MQ is a quad-channel, 12-bit, voltage-unbuffered DAC from Microchip Technology, qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 for the -40°C to 125°C automotive temperature range. That means it's rated for under-hood or engine-bay environments where the ambient sees 105°C on a summer grade, with margin to 125°C junction. It integrates four independent DAC channels on a single die, each with a 7.8 µs typical settling time, and communicates over a standard SPI interface. The external reference type gives the designer control over the output voltage span independent of the supply rails.
Supply and interface flexibility
No separate AVDD/DVDD sequencing is required — one clean rail and a decoupling cap at each pin is the standard hookup. The 20-VQFN (5x5 mm) exposed-pad package provides a low thermal resistance path to the PCB ground plane.
Linearity and accuracy
INL is ±0.4 LSB typical and DNL is ±0.05 LSB typical at 12-bit resolution. The DNL figure is well within the ±0.5 LSB no-missing-code boundary, so every code step is monotonic — no skipped outputs across the full transfer curve.
