1 MSPS SAR — what the sampling rate means for the signal chain
At 1 MSPS, this 14-bit SAR ADC captures a 500 kHz bandwidth signal at Nyquist — enough for high-speed data acquisition on a single channel. The SPI interface clocks out the conversion result at up to 20 MHz typical, so the host MCU reads one 14-bit word in under 1 µs. The 1:1 S/H-to-ADC ratio means no pipeline delay; the sample is held and converted in one cycle.
Differential input and supply rails
The differential input rejects common-mode noise from the sensor ground — critical when the analog front-end sits on a separate ground plane from the digital core. The external reference sets the full-scale range; a clean 1.8 V reference keeps the LSB size at 110 µV.
Industrial temperature range and deployment context
The 10-MSOP package is surface-mount, so the board sees the same thermal cycle as the ADC; no special handling beyond standard reflow profiles.
