150 mA LDO, 6 V fixed — the dropout and PSRR matter
The MCP1801T-6002I/OT is a positive fixed-output LDO from Microchip Technology, delivering 150 mA at 6 V from a maximum input of 10 V. Maximum dropout is 0.25 V at 100 mA load — the headroom between input rail and 6 V output must stay above that figure across the full load range to maintain regulation. PSRR is 70 dB at 10 kHz, which means upstream switching noise at that frequency is attenuated by a factor of ~3000 — useful when the LDO sits downstream of a DC-DC converter. Quiescent current is 50 µA typical, so the regulator's own draw is low enough for battery-powered or always-on circuits where every microamp counts.
Package, temperature grade, and control
An Enable pin allows the output to be shut down externally, and overcurrent protection is built in — no external current-limiting resistor needed.
