What the 600 kHz switching and synchronous rectification mean for the BOM
The 600 kHz fixed switching frequency lets the designer use a smaller inductor or transformer core than a 100 kHz part — the trade-off is higher core loss and driver dissipation, so the thermal budget in a 125 °C ambient needs a derating check. Synchronous rectification is built in — the controller drives an external N-channel FET on the secondary side, which replaces a Schottky diode and cuts the rectifier conduction loss by roughly the diode Vf / FET Rds(on) ratio.
Package and board-fit: 8-DFN with exposed pad
Supplied in tube format — not tape-and-reel, so pick-and-place lines need a tube feeder or a manual loading step for prototype runs.
RoHS3 compliant per the manufacturer's declaration, so it passes the EU material restriction check for new designs.
