EL lamp driver with integrated dimming
The Microchip HV860K7-G is an EL lamp driver in a 12-QFN (3x3 mm) package, switching from 40 kHz to 200 kHz to drive electroluminescent panels. It accepts a 2.5 V to 4.5 V supply and draws 16 mA typical, with built-in dimming control — useful for backlighting keypads, LCDs, or decorative panels where brightness needs adjustment without an external PWM signal.
Temperature grade and package fit
The 12-WFQFN exposed pad (3x3 mm) requires a thermal land on the PCB for heat spreading — the exposed pad is the primary thermal path, not the leads.
