MEMS resonator advantage and blank-programmable flexibility
The DSC8121BI2: The part ships blank (unprogrammed) and must be programmed with the target frequency before assembly. The 10 MHz to 170 MHz range covers common MCU clock inputs, Ethernet PHY reference clocks, and FPGA core frequencies — a single BOM line can serve multiple frequency variants by programming the blank part at the distributor or in-house.
Package and board integration
Surface-mount assembly with tube packaging; the Enable/Disable pin is active-low by default on the DSC8121 family — verify the logic polarity against the downstream clock buffer or MCU's enable input.
