Automotive-grade MEMS oscillator with LVDS output
The Microchip DSC8103CI2-PROGRAMMABLE is an XO (Standard) oscillator using a MEMS base resonator, delivering LVDS output across a 10 MHz to 460 MHz frequency range. It is AEC-Q100 qualified — the grade means it meets the automotive reliability stress and temperature requirements for non-safety-critical applications, suitable for infotainment, ADAS sensor clocks, or body controller timing where a ceramic resonator would be overkill but a crystal needs external tuning.
For a 100 MHz reference, that is a worst-case jitter budget of roughly 2.5 kHz — tight enough for a 10/100 Ethernet PHY reference or a CAN FD controller, but not tight enough for a precision 1588 grandmaster.
Surface-mount reflow profile follows standard lead-free solder profiles; no special bake-out required because the MEMS die is hermetically sealed at the wafer level.
