Frequency stability and jitter budget
The DSC8102BI5: Total frequency stability of ±10 ppm includes initial tolerance, temperature drift, and aging — this is the figure to use in the timing budget, not the narrower temperature-only spec typical of quartz oscillators. The 58 mA maximum supply current at full frequency and LVPECL load is the worst-case draw for the power tree — actual current at lower frequencies or with lighter loads will be lower, but the regulator must deliver this peak.
Package and board integration
Surface-mount assembly with a no-lead package means the thermal pad under the device should be connected to a ground plane for heat sinking, though the 58 mA draw keeps self-heating low.
