Typical supply current is 3 mA max, keeping the thermal contribution negligible in a sealed enclosure. Standby mode drops draw to 12 µA max via the Standby function pin — the oscillator stops and the output goes high-Z, preserving battery life in key-off automotive modules or intermittently powered sensor nodes.
Programmable frequency range and stability
The device ships as a blank (user-programmable) part covering 1 MHz to 100 MHz — one stock-keeping unit can be programmed to the exact frequency needed at board assembly, reducing inventory line items.
An AEC-Q100 rated part with a -20°C floor is unusual: it passes the reliability stress tests (preconditioning, HAST, temperature cycling) but the temperature spec limits deployment to cabin or climate-controlled modules, not under-hood or engine-bay locations. For a -40°C to +125°C requirement, look at the DSC61XX family's extended-temperature variants — same MEMS core, wider temp code.
